Urban Victory Garden

The 6 Ward Urban Victory Garden was established in the early 2000s by Mary Ann Franklin and David Ruffin. This community initiative aims to enhance local food security, promote sustainable gardening practices, and foster community engagement. The garden serves as a space for residents to grow nutritious food, share knowledge, and build connections, contributing to a healthier and more resilient community.

You Reap What You Sow

"When you grow your own food, you cultivate not only fresh produce but also a deeper connection to the earth. This practice empowers individuals and communities to take control of their nutrition, promoting healthier lifestyles and environmental sustainability."
